MIRAGE

In the desert heat, I wandered lost
Longing for love at any cost
And then I saw a vision clear
A mirage of you, my dear

My heart raced as I drew near
But the closer I got, the less you were here
What I thought was love, was just a trick
A cruel mirage, making my heart sick

The love I thought we had was just a dream
A figment of my imagination, it would seem
I chased a mirage, a love that was not true
Leaving me empty and alone, feeling blue

But now I know the truth, and it is a bitter pill
The love I felt for you was never real
The mirage has faded, and so has my pain
I will move on and love again.

I live to write; I write for a living. Because I breath words in and out, everything I pen down must be epic!
