In the sacred place of friendship’s sacred bond,
Where trust and loyalty were fond,
There dwelled a friend, so dear to me,
Whose promises brought solace, key.
“You promised,” I whisper, with tears in my eyes,
Recalling the days when our dreams reached the skies,
Through laughter and hardships, hand in hand,
I thought our bond would forever stand.
In whispered secrets and shared desires,
We painted our world with vibrant hues,
But little did I know, beneath the smiles,Lurked betrayal’s dagger, hidden, yet true.
You promised to be there in times of despair,
To hold me close, to show me you care,
But when shadows loomed and darkness prevailed,
Your words crumbled, like a ship that had failed.
The trust we forged, so painstakingly built,
Now shattered, like fragments of glass, spilt,
And the wounds inflicted by your deceit,
Still ache and bleed, refusing to retreat.
You promised to be my guiding light,
To ward off the demons that haunted my nights,
Yet you became the darkness, the enemy within,
A wolf in sheep’s clothing, reveling in sin.
Oh, how I trusted your every word,
Believed in the melodies that once were heard,
But now I stand, wounded and scarred,
Bitterly mourning a friendship, forever marred.
You promised, dear friend, but you broke your vow,
Leaving me stranded in a desolate now,
Yet in this heartache, I find strength anew,
To rebuild, to rise, to bid farewell to you.
For though you betrayed me, bruised my soul,
I will gather the fragments and reclaim control,
With lessons learned, I will rise above,
Embracing the dawn of a friendship’s new love.
Farewell, dear friend, with a heavy heart,
I release the pain, and let go, depart,
In the tapestry of life, our paths may sever,
But I will find solace, for love endures forever.
You promised, once, but, I will promise again,
To heal, to forgive, and to trust, my friend,.
For though betrayal stings, it cannot define,
The strength that lies within, eternally mine
