TEMPTED TO TOUCH

Search my deepest, a flame does burn,
A love that consumes me, a fire I cannot spurn.
But fate, cruel fate, has drawn a line,
For she belongs to another, not mine.

Oh, how I long to touch her gentle face,
To hold her in my arms, to feel her embrace.
Her smile, like sunlight, brightens up my day,
Her laughter, like music, takes my breath away.

I am captivated by her every move,
Her grace, her charm, she has got nothing to prove.
Her eyes, like stars, sparkle with desire,
And in my dreams, she sets my heart on fire.

I yearn for the taste of her sweet lips,
To steal a moment’s bliss with stolen trips.
But conscience holds me back, my heart feels torn,
For she is bound to another, forever sworn.

I dare not cross the line, no matter how I ache,
For I must respect the choices that she has made.
Yet still, I am haunted by the love I cannot claim,
A love that fuels my dreams, ignites my inner flame.

So, I will cherish these fantasies within my soul,
A secret love, unspoken, I will forever hold.
For though I cannot have her, I will love her from afar,
And let my heart be guided by love’s guiding star.

Tempted to touch, but destined to abstain,
In this bittersweet love, I will find solace in pain.
For she is the muse that inspires my poetic art,
The unattainable love that forever tugs at my heart.

I live to write; I write for a living. Because I breath words in and out, everything I pen down must be epic!
