STRANGERS

We knew their love once bloomed,
Two souls entwined, their hearts consumed.
Yet fate, with cruel and icy hand,
Led them to a place where strangers stand.

Once they danced amidst the stars,
Two kindred spirits breaking all the bars.
Their laughter echoed through the night,
Their love a flame, forever bright.

But time, a fickle and relentless force,
Wove webs of distance, altering their course.
Irreconcilable differences crept between,
Creating chasms where love had been.

Their words grew heavy, filled with pain,
Unresolved conflicts, a haunting refrain.
They clung to memories, cherished and pure,
Yet found themselves on distant shores.

Strangers they became, like passing ships,
Nostalgia’s grip on their souls, a bittersweet eclipse.
For in their hearts, an ache remained,
Love’s remnants lingering, forever unchained.

They wander through life’s intricate maze,
Each step a reminder of love’s lost days.
A chance encounter, a fleeting glance,
Moments of longing in a cosmic dance.

Silent prayers whispered to the midnight sky,
Asking why destiny had made them say goodbye.
Yet the universe, with its enigmatic decree,
Decided they were not meant to be.

Oh, how they miss the warmth they knew,
When their love was real, when it was true.
But destiny’s hand, unyielding and stark,
Drew them apart, left them in the dark.

So they dwell in the realm of what could have been,
Two strangers bound by a love unseen.
Though their hearts still yearn and softly weep,
Their souls eternally guarded, secrets they keep.

For fate has spoken, its verdict profound,
They are but strangers now, no common ground.
Yet in quiet moments, their thoughts entwine,
Whispering a love that transcends space and time.

I live to write; I write for a living. Because I breath words in and out, everything I pen down must be epic!
