In walls, we find a fortress, strong and tall,
Shielding us from a world that may enthrall.
But in their steadfast strength, the pros and cons,
Unfold like stories written in life’s bronze.
Pros of walls, a sanctuary they provide,
A shelter from the tempest’s roaring tide.
A haven for our secrets, thoughts, and dreams,
Where solitude and peace often gleams.
But in these walls, we sometimes find a cage,
Isolation, loneliness, an inner rage.
For while they guard, they also tend to bind,
To shut out life’s beauty left behind.
Build your walls with care, both strong and wise,
Protect your heart, where hidden treasures lie.
But let them not become a prison’s bars,
For life is meant to reach for distant stars.
