The demons rage,
Screaming violently,
Eternal solitude outside,
Endless chaos within.
Their whispers,
Deafening like a thousand cymbals,
Yet I gaze at you calmly.
You remain unaware.
I struggle,
Unable to cast them aside,
Unable to resist.
My strength has failed time and again.
Do you think I don’t try?
Oh, you think I lack discipline?
Wait until your own demons rise,
Then you’ll know true helplessness.
I want to surrender,
To let them take control.
What’s the point of trying?
They always win.
So, once more,
I reach for the Vaseline,
As I rush to the bathroom,
And obey their command – ‘Masturbate’.
