You see that valley of darkness, there I once dwelled,
A young soul, battered and compelled,
Through the stormy seas of pain and despair,
I fought a battle that seemed unfair.
Abuse’s icy grip held me tight,
But I refused to surrender my light,
Through tears and fears, I clung to hope,
Seeking solace, learning how to cope.
I faced the shadows, confronted my fears,
Embraced the pain, wiped away my tears,
I found the courage buried deep inside,
To break the chains, no longer to hide.
The road was long, the journey was tough,
But I emerged, a survivor, strong enough,
I sought support, reached out for aid,
Found kindred spirits who helped me upgrade.
I nurtured self-love, embraced my worth,
Rediscovered my voice, a powerful rebirth,
Boundaries set, I reclaimed my space,
No longer a victim, I found my grace.
So if you are in the midst of pain’s cruel grasp,
Know that strength resides within, to clasp,
Believe in yourself, for you are strong,
Together we will rise, we will right the wrong.
Remember, dear one, you are never alone,
Reach out, seek help, let your story be known,
You are a warrior, destined to be free,
Embrace your power, let your spirit flee.
