UNSCATHED

You see that valley of darkness, there I once dwelled,
A young soul, battered and compelled,
Through the stormy seas of pain and despair,
I fought a battle that seemed unfair.

Abuse’s icy grip held me tight,
But I refused to surrender my light,
Through tears and fears, I clung to hope,
Seeking solace, learning how to cope.

I faced the shadows, confronted my fears,
Embraced the pain, wiped away my tears,
I found the courage buried deep inside,
To break the chains, no longer to hide.

The road was long, the journey was tough,
But I emerged, a survivor, strong enough,
I sought support, reached out for aid,
Found kindred spirits who helped me upgrade.

I nurtured self-love, embraced my worth,
Rediscovered my voice, a powerful rebirth,
Boundaries set, I reclaimed my space,
No longer a victim, I found my grace.

So if you are in the midst of pain’s cruel grasp,
Know that strength resides within, to clasp,
Believe in yourself, for you are strong,
Together we will rise, we will right the wrong.

Remember, dear one, you are never alone,
Reach out, seek help, let your story be known,
You are a warrior, destined to be free,
Embrace your power, let your spirit flee.

STRANGERS

We knew their love once bloomed,
Two souls entwined, their hearts consumed.
Yet fate, with cruel and icy hand,
Led them to a place where strangers stand.

Once they danced amidst the stars,
Two kindred spirits breaking all the bars.
Their laughter echoed through the night,
Their love a flame, forever bright.

But time, a fickle and relentless force,
Wove webs of distance, altering their course.
Irreconcilable differences crept between,
Creating chasms where love had been.

Their words grew heavy, filled with pain,
Unresolved conflicts, a haunting refrain.
They clung to memories, cherished and pure,
Yet found themselves on distant shores.

Strangers they became, like passing ships,
Nostalgia’s grip on their souls, a bittersweet eclipse.
For in their hearts, an ache remained,
Love’s remnants lingering, forever unchained.

They wander through life’s intricate maze,
Each step a reminder of love’s lost days.
A chance encounter, a fleeting glance,
Moments of longing in a cosmic dance.

Silent prayers whispered to the midnight sky,
Asking why destiny had made them say goodbye.
Yet the universe, with its enigmatic decree,
Decided they were not meant to be.

Oh, how they miss the warmth they knew,
When their love was real, when it was true.
But destiny’s hand, unyielding and stark,
Drew them apart, left them in the dark.

So they dwell in the realm of what could have been,
Two strangers bound by a love unseen.
Though their hearts still yearn and softly weep,
Their souls eternally guarded, secrets they keep.

For fate has spoken, its verdict profound,
They are but strangers now, no common ground.
Yet in quiet moments, their thoughts entwine,
Whispering a love that transcends space and time.

Favourite Historical Figure

Who is your favorite historical figure?

We call it YEMOJA in Nigeria. I guess every other country know her as MERMAID. I love her beauty, poise, and oh! The fish tail. I have never seen one before but with all I have read and watched, she is a goddess to behold and a generous one too. YEMOJA is a blessing to all.

MY FIRST CRUSH?

Write about your first crush.

My first crush was an Actor. Amazingly, I was an adolescent when I started crushing on him. Dreams never ending, I could not even get to speak with him. If only wishes were horses…

COURAGE SAID NO

Silently I watched his whispers fade, and his dreams unsaid,
A man’s heart weighed down with dread,
A shy man with a longing, for love he could not show,
Every day he saw her, but his courage said no.

He would catch her radiant smile, it stole his breath away,
But his fears held him captive, his words in disarray,
His heart ached in silence, as the days turned into years,
Yet he could not find the strength to dissolve his inner fears.

But deep within his soul, a flicker started to ignite,
A glimmer of resilience, breaking through the night,
He vowed to seize the moment, before it slipped away,
To cast aside his worries, and the doubts that led astray.

One day, fate aligned their paths, their eyes locked in a gaze,
He gathered all his strength, in a courageous, final blaze,
With trembling voice, he spoke the words he longed to say,
“Through every passing moment, I have loved you every day.”

Now their love blossoms, like a flower in full bloom,
He found the strength within, to escape his self-made tomb,
So, to all the shy souls longing for love’s sweet embrace,
Believe in your own courage, and let your heart find its place.

YOU CAN!

DARE!

The air is polluted with the dark shadows of doubts and fears,
Judgment echoing per second in our ears,
Listen, I pen this down to encourage the young and the bold,
And tell a tale of courage and stories untold.

The path you tread may not be clear,
Obstacles arise, but have no fear.
For every mountain that blocks your way,
Conquer it boldly, come what may.

The road to greatness is paved with strife,
But through it all, you will find your life.
Embrace the challenges, embrace the pain,
For it is in those moments, you will truly gain.

Let opposition be your guiding light,
Ignite the fire within, burn so bright.
For it is in the face of adversity,
That you will discover your true tenacity.

So, young hearts, remember this refrain,
Dare to live, let your spirit reign.
No matter the odds, the obstacles you face,
Dare to chase your dreams, embrace life’s grace.

Dare!

I don’t think I have one in particular but all. My cosy house, not too expensive but roomy and beautiful jeep, healthcare, and yes, food. Don’t laugh, who can do without food? So you see it’s not just one.
