In folly’s embrace, I lost my prime,
Wandering paths with the wrong lover, how sublime!
Time slipped away, a cruel pantomime,
Leaving me to rue, in this rhythmless rhyme.

Oh, the hours squandered, in love’s deceptive mime,
Chasing shadows, heedless of the warning chime.
Each stolen moment, a theft, a crime,
Leaving me with regrets, stacking up like grime.
But wait, let’s add a dash of sarcasm to this tale,
For who knew love’s pursuit would end in such a fail?
Like a sailor lost at sea, without a sail,
I danced with the wrong partner, oh what a tale!
I stand, with regrets in hand,
A poet of lost time, in sorrow’s land.
But let’s not despair, let’s understand,
That even in folly, there’s wisdom to be fanned.
For in the depths of regret, lessons are learned,
And from the ashes of mistakes, wisdom is earned.
To all lost time, a lesson hard-earned,
May it lead me to a love that’s true and unburned.

Beneath the rustling leaves, I stride with glee,
Their dance whispers assurance, guiding me.
On this dusty quest, I roam and roam,
Seeking answers in the unknown’s dome.
The birds’ sweet melodies, like a cue,
Urge me forth, as if they know you too.
Though their language eludes my grasp,
I follow, entranced, in their rhythmic rasp.
In this odyssey for love, I envision thee,
A portrait clear, yet distant as the sea.
Can I erase this longing? Nay, it’s true,
For never have our paths yet ensue.
Each step I take resonates anew,
Your presence felt, though yet to view.
One day, I pray, this journey will end,
And our love story, together, we will blend.
No matter how far, no matter the weather,
I will persist on this quest, endeavoring ever.
Till in my embrace, you find solace to stay,
And our love, forever, shall light the way.

Staring at the mirror of achievement, I see my reflection,
A trail of triumphs, a flawless connection.
I crown myself with victories, jewels of the past,
Each success a testament, built to forever last.
I danced through challenges, conquered the fears,
Echoes of triumph still ringing in my ears.
I pat myself on the back for battles won,
In the gallery of achievements, a radiant sun.
Now, in the arena of the unknown I stand,
A new adventure awaits, destiny in my hand.
I fuel the fire within, ignite the spark,
For the journey ahead, a fearless embark.
Crown yourself with courage, wear it bold,
In the recount of dreams, let your story be told.
The past is a prelude, the future untold,
Endless possibilities, waiting to unfold.
With every step, let confidence resound,
In the kingdom of dreams, let joy be crowned.
Today,, I stand tall, in my own glory,
For I am the architect of my own story.

I hold sacred my vows and shared grace,
This, my plea to friends, a heartfelt case.
“Do me a favor,” I softly implore,
Let my marriage breathe, I ask no more.
When love dances, let me lead,
Navigating the highs, fulfilling each need.
The intricacies of our union, I will untangle,
No need for interference, my path I will wrangle.
Oh, dear friends, with care in your heart,
Respect the space where my love imparts.
In the quiet corners, we will find our way,
A solo journey, in love’s display.
No counsel sought, no well-intentioned ear,
For I wield the strength to conquer fear.
My marriage, a coat of many colours, woven strong,
I will mend the threads when they seem wrong.
This journey’s mine, with its twists and turns,
A suddenness of resilience, as my heart discerns.
Dear Friends, I plead, with grace and flavor,
Respect my plea—do me a favor.

In halls of learning, echoes sweetly sound
An encyclopedia of moments, springs anew
The laughter, friendships, bonds that tightly bound
School life’s journey, an ever-changing view
From classrooms filled with wisdom’s warm embrace
To exams that test the mettle, shape the grace
In every lesson, seeds of future trace
Of growth and wisdom, life’s relentless chase
The lunchtime chatter and recess’s play
In memories cherished, moments find their way
Teachers who guide, illuminating day
A school’s warm embrace, where hearts hold sway
Cheers to school life, with lessons rife
A chapter unfolding, shaping forth life

(I Miss You, Derrick)

Emotions, sanction me, in abstract touch,
Feel his presence, hold his hand as such.
In the dark, relish pleasures, culpable delight,
Lost within, shivering at his touch so bright.
No potency to break free, he holds me near,
Perhaps I have lost myself, a cause to fear.
Survival uncertain, getting over, a maybe,
A razor perforates my heart, blood drips free.
Temerarious forsake, my heart bleeding,
“Take me, touch my places,” a moan proceeding.
Verbalizing nothing, bound in his hold,
Physically gone, yet he is my matter, bold.
Laying in tenebrosity, room vacuous and wide,
Ceiling examined, visions of you coincide.
Mission life aborted, a smile in the dark,
Telling me, optically, I will mend, embark.
Four years have passed, a testament to time,
Derrick, know this, in prose and rhyme.
No man congenially touches me, you see,
In pleasant places, the way you did to me.
