LOVE GETS TIRED TOO

Love gets tired too, it needs its rest,
A weary heart can never be at its best.
Long days and nights, it tirelessly gives,
Endless compassion and the will to forgive.

But even love, with all its might and zeal,
Can grow fatigued like spinning wheel.
The flame that once burned with fiery desire,
Now flickers, waning, like a dying fire.

Love gets tired when it is taken for granted,
When constant demands leave it disenchanted.
It longs for reprieve, for a moment of peace,
To let go of burdens and find sweet release.

Love gets tired when it is stretched too thin,
When it is stretched between the world and within.
It yearns to be nurtured and tenderly caressed,
To feel cherished and valued, not just second best.

Love gets tired when it is met with unkindness,
When it is met with indifference and coldness.
It craves understanding, a gentle touch,
To reignite the passion that once meant so much.

But even in weariness, love can endure,
If we learn to listen and find the cure.
To nourish it with patience and empathy,
To cherish its presence, to set it free.

For love, though tired, will always find a way,
To rejuvenate and flourish, day by day.
With kindness and tenderness, it will revive,
In the heart that is willing, in the love that is alive.

BADBYE

Beneath the shadow of hurtful words thrown,
I struggled to repair what had been overthrown.
Through shattered glass, I strained to see,
Love crumbling swiftly, fading free

With hopeful heart, I persevered,
Ignoring wounds, the pain, the tears.
Each bruise a secret, each scar concealed,
In desperate silence, I would softly yield.

I whispered vows to make amends,
Believed that love could heal the bends.
I danced on eggshells, walked the line,
Hoping for change, a sign, a sign.

Yet days turned dark, the nights grew long,
His anger’s grip, like iron strong.
My spirit weakened, light grew dim,
But deep within, a fire burned grim.

In trembling steps, I found my way,
To break the chains, to end dismay.
With strength newfound, I faced the truth,
I left behind my shattered youth.

A farewell brave, I whispered clear,
To end the cycle of hurt and fear.
No longer captive to his rage,
I stepped onto a brighter stage.

Though scars remain, both seen and hid,
I am free to love, to mend, to bid
Goodbye to pain, ready to embrace the sky,
But to you, it will always be a badbye.

What do you enjoy most about writing?

The way I play with words; the way I command them to fuse together and they obey without questioning.

ODE TO THE MOON

Oh, radiant Moon, ever tranquil and bright,
You bathe the night in soothing silver light.
With grace and mystery, you glide through the sky,
Captivating hearts as you pass us by.

A celestial gem, suspended up high,
In your delicate glow, fears seem to lie.
The stars in envy, they dance all around,
But your ethereal beauty knows no bound.

You witness secrets, both joy and despair,
As we confide in you, our silent prayer.
You watch over lovers as they steal a kiss,
Caressing hearts with your tender abyss.

Oh, Moon, how you sway the ocean’s great tide,
Guiding the waves as they ebb and subside.
Your gravitational pull creates this dance,
A heavenly waltz of cosmic romance.

But why are you somber, at times filled with woe?
Are you mourning the nights when you can’t bestow
Your full splendor, obscured by the Earth’s shade,
Yearning for days when your luminescence won’t fade?

Yet, through it all, you persist to inspire,
A symbol of hope when the world feels dire.
The solace you bring, in darkness profound,
Reminds us that light can always be found.

Oh, Moon, you are timeless, a timeless friend,
Glowing above us until the very end.
Forever we’ll gaze upon your silvery face,
And be captivated by your mystic grace.

PARDON ME

Here to showcase twilight’s grace,
Where whispers of sorrow find their space,
Allow me pen stanzas of forgiveness, you see,
Of my entwined heart, and my soul’s plea.

Lord, “Pardon me,” my words do slip,
Trembling lips and a heart’s tight grip,
I beg for grace, a chance to make right,
Mend the fracture, end the night.

Through tearful eyes, truth unfolds,
Regret and longing, my story holds,
A melody of sorry, in verses expressed,
Mending the wounds, soothing the chest.

With each stanza I dare to say,
Understanding sought, to light my way,
In the embrace of forgiveness, I find calm,
“Pardon me,” my healing psalm.
