WHEN GOD IS SILENT

When God is silent, the world is still,
A hush falls over the hearts that thrill.
The winds of change are quiet in their sway,
As if the heavens held their breath in awe.

The stars above, they twinkle bright,
Their light unchanged, though all is tight.
Their whispers echo through the night,
A gentle reminder of His sight.

The trees stand tall, their limbs outstretched,
Their leaves rustling soft, no words are spoken.
The flowers bloom, their colors bold,
Their beauty unmarred, their stories untold.

The creatures of the wild, they roam,
Their footsteps quiet on the loam.
Their cries and songs, they fade away,
As if in reverence for the day.

The moments pass, the hours slip by,
The silence deepens, the heavens high.
The world is still, the heart is calm,
In the silence of God’s peaceful balm.

ARISE TO REWRITE

(Nigeria on my mind)

We may be petite
But we are still polite
We may be elite
But we will still unite
We are Youths with excellence
We are here to clear the sight and site
Of this Nation, and fly high like a kite

Today we will invite
Not the Sodomite
But the Amazonite
To visit this Dump site
Not as Hypocrite
But to ignite
Our success Satellite

Arise O Compatriots, let us recite
Our Anthem like a favourite
Let us rewrite
Nigeria’s History with great appetite
Let us make our change indefinite
Bad legacy, let us overwrite

I call on you to come to the change suite
Let our heart be pure like snow white
Let us build this Nation’s Website
Marching like heroes to our Campsite

We can, yes we can ignite
The fire to unite
One more time eradicate all evil termite
That our progress decided to spite
Laziness, let us smite
Diligence, let us reinvite
Gradually let us destroy the Parasite
Darkness and light are henceforth opposite
Take action! Speak out! Do not backbite

We are love, strength and faith composite
Arise, o compatriots with royalty, build with exquisite
Its time to rewrite
The history of Nigeria!!!

LOVE’S MISHAPS

Two souls collide, with dreams in their eyes,
Yet fate can be cruel, in love’s disguise.
Promises made, but soon they break,
Leaving hearts shattered, in love’s wake.

Misunderstandings, words that sting,
Love’s gentle melody turned to a painful thing.
Trust erodes like sand in the breeze,
Leaving wounds that time may never ease.

But in these mishaps, there is a chance to grow,
To learn from mistakes, let forgiveness flow.
For love, though it falters, can also mend,
And in its resilience, hearts often blend.

Love’s mishaps? Do not despair,
Embrace the journey, the joys and the wear.
For in the end, through laughter and tears,
Love’s mishaps can lead to enduring years.

I PASSED ON

In twisted shadows of my mind, I passed on,
A soul once bright, now dimmed and gone.
Emotional abuse, a heavy toll it took,
Leaving me drained, like a hollowed book.

The words that cut, like knives in the night,
Left scars that never healed, but only blight.
The love that was meant to lift me high,
Instead, it weighed me down, made me shy.

I passed on, to a place of despair,
Where hope and joy, no longer there.
The pain and fear, they lingered near,
A constant reminder, of what I’d been through.

The memories of laughter, now but a shade,
The warmth of touch, now just a faded shade.
The love that once was, now but a dream,
A dream that I once thought, was my theme.

I passed on, to a place of peace,
Where the pain and hurt, no longer cease.
I found solace, in a silent place,
Where I could heal, and find grace.
